REPORTS TO: President and CEO of Summit Financial Group, Inc.

General Summary: The Chief Banking Officer (CBO)
Duties:
- Exhibit, coach, and deliver on Summit’s promise of “Service Beyond Expectations” Begins with Me so that it is consistent throughout our client services and is real and believable by following our defined principles
- Measure, maintain and analyze the customer service Net Promoter Score
- Develop goals, execute and implement actions to meet annual goals for Retail
- Review and analyze deposit accounts and make recommendations for changes, discontinuation, and new accounts.
- Exhibit, coach and manage business call strategies for Retail
- Review of Request for Proposals; respond to bids, and implementation of bids that are accepted.
- Implementation and Maintenance of Community Reinvestment throughout our communities including school partnerships and employee involvement in the community.
- Review, analysis, and implementation of incentive plans, as well as recommending changes to plans.
- Coordination with Operations on system enhancements.
- Responding to Client complaints, including those submitted to the FDIC, and implementing changes as necessary.
- Other duties as assigned
Relationships:
- The Chief Banking Officer supervises Area Managers, Client Care Center, Summit Assist Tellers, Cash Management Staff, Retail Deposit Staff, and Administrative Assistant
- Working with the Chief Operations Officer on systems as well as conversions.
- Coordinating with the Training Department on new employee training, ongoing training, system changing, etc.
- Reports to the President and Chief Executive Officer directly.

Requirements |
Education Requirements: Post-Secondary Education covering Finance, Banking Schools, or Accounting, or meeting the Experience Requirement.
Experience or Skill Requirements: CBOs are senior executives with at least 15 years of experience. They possess the following skill sets:
- Leadership skills through actions, words and written documents.
- Customer Service skills and a deep commitment to Service Beyond Expectations Begins with Me
- Analyzing skills of spreadsheets, reports, and behaviors.
- Knowledge of banking laws, products, and services
- Knowledge of the history of banking while having a vision for the future.
