WVBankers Education Department COVID-19 Social Responsibility Policy

WVBankers will strictly adhere to all state and federal orders, policies, guidelines, and recommendations relating to the use of masks, responsible social distancing and public gatherings throughout the duration of the COVID-19 pandemic. We understand that orders and guidelines may change from time to time in response to new developments with the spread of the COVID-19 virus and we ask for your cooperation, patience, and understanding as we adapt our processes to this new environment.

In order to comply with current guidelines and reduce risks to our event participants, all WVBankers in-person educational programming will be limited to 25 attendees.  If, at any time prior to the event, the county where the event is being held is re-coded to gold, orange, or red, the in-person event will be canceled and the seminar will be held virtually. In the event of a municipal, county, state, or federal government order of a mandatory quarantine, a “stay at home,” or a “shelter in place” order, the event will be modified for remote participation only or will be rescheduled at another time at the discretion of WVBankers Education Department.

Social Responsibility, Social Distancing, and Masks

WVBankers will work with our venues to ensure that meeting rooms and event spaces are of adequate size and that tables, chairs and other accommodations are organized to allow maximum compliance with safe social distancing requirements. In-person participants are asked to submit a COVID-19 screening survey prior to any event. Any participant who is experiencing symptoms including fever, cough, sore throat, head or chest congestion, itchy or burning eyes, earache, headache and/or body aches, should not attend and a full refund will be issued. In-person participants will be asked to wear a mask or face covering during times you are in close contact (closer than 6 ft.) with other people and during any period longer than 20 minutes inside the same room with other people.  You are encouraged to bring your own mask. Participants will not be expected to wear a mask while actively eating or drinking.

We appreciate your cooperation and understanding and your commitment to the safety of yourself and your family, your professional colleagues, event and venue staff and our greater community. This policy is subject to change with little or no notice. WVBankers will do our best to inform our educational participants of any changes to this policy and or two our educational programming as soon as is practicable.
