Established in 1891, the West Virginia Bankers Association is widely recognized as one of the state’s leading trade associations and is the premier leadership organization and principal advocate for West Virginia banks.  The WVBA is dedicated to creating a positive business climate that benefits the entire banking industry and the communities they serve. 

The WVBA acts as a legislative liaison on behalf of its membership for state legislative issues and works closely with the American Bankers Association on issues in Washington. The Association also provides an extensive array of educational and training programs, public communications, insurance benefit programs, the West Virginia Banker magazine and other services to our member financial institutions. 

The WVBA has two types of membership, Bank Members and Associate Members who provide valuable products and services for the banking sector.
