United Bank Promotes DF Mock to Regional President
Charleston, WV — United Bank has promoted DF Mock to regional president of its West Virginia markets. Mock will oversee the management and operation of day-to-day banking activities, client relationships and business development throughout eight of the nine markets in the state and Pennsylvania, which comprises 49 branches.
“DF’s vision, passion and commitment to his customers and community have contributed greatly to the success of United Bank,” said Henry Kayes, chief operating officer of United Bank. “His expertise and strong relationships throughout the state will be invaluable as we continue to provide our customers with personalized banking services.”
Mock joined United in 2005 as a credit analyst after graduating from West Virginia University and went on to serve as a commercial lender in the Wood and South Markets. In 2010, he was named market president of the South Market, its main location in Beckley, WV, making him one of the youngest market presidents in the bank’s history. For the last three years, Mock served as United’s managing director of auto dealer services, a group he will continue to support. In 2016, he was recognized by West Virginia Executive as a “Young Gun” for his role in helping to drive the success of West Virginia as a young leader. He was also inducted into The State Journal’s “40 Under 40 Class of 2012.”
Mock currently serves on the boards of West Virginia Humanities Council, The United Way of Central WV, WV Small Business Development Center Advisory Board and WV Symphony Orchestra and is a member of Charleston Rotary Club and FRB Industry Roundtable of Charleston. He has also served on the boards of several non-profit organizations throughout West Virginia including Beckley Area Community Foundation, United Way of Southern West Virginia, the Beckley-Raleigh County Chamber of Commerce and Appalachian Regional Healthcare Foundation, in addition to serving as president of the Beckley Rotary Club.
