Clear Mountain Bank Celebrates Second Successful Year of Community Service Program
39 Organizations Helped - 670 Volunteer Hours Served - 92 Team Members Participated
Bruceton Mills, WV, September 10, 2019 – Clear Mountain Bank is deeply rooted in the communities it serves. In September 2017, Clear Mountain Bank launched its community service initiative “Clear Mountain Cares.” On July 31, 2019, the Clear Mountain team successfully crossed the finish line and exceeded program goals for a second straight year.
The Clear Mountain Cares program grants each bank team member paid time off from work to serve a community organization of his/her choosing. Because employees are free to select volunteer opportunities that they are passionate about, the program serves several organizations and a wide variety of needs in our local communities.
The program was created in honor of the bank’s former president and CEO, Brian F. Thomas, who passed away in 2016 following a battle with cancer. Brian dedicated countless hours to serving numerous organizations in our community, and the Clear Mountain Cares program serves to continue Brian’s vision for philanthropy.
“We are proud to report that 92 team members provided 670 hours of volunteer service to 39 local organizations in our second year of the program” states David M. Thomas, president and CEO of Clear Mountain Bank. “We are beyond pleased with these results and look forward to continuing to build upon the success of the program for years to come” added Thomas.
