Alderman Elected to Board of Directors for State Bancorp, Inc.
Bruceton Mills, WV, July 16, 2018 — Frank Alderman, MD, has been elected to the board of directors for State Bancorp, Inc., a locally owned and managed financial services company that serves as the bank holding company for Clear Mountain Bank.
Alderman is chairman and former chief executive officer of MedExpress Urgent Care, a division of OptumHealth. Under his stewardship, the company has experienced exponential growth and success while maintaining its focus on providing a best-in-class patient experience. The company currently operates over 300 neighborhood medical centers and worksites across 27 states, serving millions of consumers each year.

In 2012, Alderman was the recipient of an Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award and was also awarded Ernst and Young’s Venture Capital Award of Excellence. In 2014, he was inducted into the West Virginia Business Hall of Fame and was also selected to be a member of WVU School of Pharmacy’s Centennial Hall of Fame. Most recently, Alderman was awarded the 2018 Urgent Care Foundation Outstanding Achievement Award by the Urgent Care Association of America in recognition for his industry leadership as CEO of one of the most successful urgent care organizations in the U.S. Alderman is an active member of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO) and serves on the board of the WVU Foundation.
Alderman is a West Virginia native and holds both a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy and a medical degree from West Virginia University. He completed his residency in emergency medicine at WVU and obtained board certification.
