AIB
For more than 100 years, the American Institute of Banking (AIB) has been the industry standard in professional continuing education and training for bankers. This practical education for the financial services industry is tailored for all levels of employees, from frontline staff in a branch or call center to senior executives. ABA helps banks develop their talent to remain competitive by helping managers map a career path for their employees.
ABA training materials can be used to create in-bank programs that can be taught internally by bank officers and other subject matter experts. If you would like AIB to offer a specific course in your community, please e-mail Donna Atkinson with the course name, location and suggested dates.
The delivery of courses via the internet offers students the greatest flexibility and convenience. Whether for core banking context or skills-based subject matter, by taking classes online, students have easy access, whatever their physical location.
The West Virginia Bankers Association is a Local ABA Training Provider.

ACE College Credit Recommendations
The American Council on Education's College Credit Recommendation Service (ACE CREDIT) has evaluated and recommended college credit for 12 AIB Online Courses. The American Council on Education, the major coordinating body for all the nation's higher education institutions, seeks to provide leadership and a unifying voice on key higher education issues and to influence public policy through advocacy, research, and program initiatives.
ACE CREDIT connects workplace learning with colleges and universities by helping adults gain access to academic credit at colleges and universities for formal courses and examinations taken in the workplace or other settings outside traditional higher education.
This can be found here: http://www.aba.com/Online+Courses/OLC_ACECollegeCredits.htm
ACE has become an increasingly popular and cost-efficient tool when providing AIB Online courses. Given the credit recommendation possibilities (check here for participating colleges/universities in your area: http://www.acenet.edu/programs/ccrs/adult_learners/index.cfm?sort=s) and the ability to save students money over traditional college tuition expenses, ACE can be the difference between one AIB course and several. If you have any questions on ACE, contact datkinson@wvbankers.org.
