WVBA Associate Membership
The West Virginia Bankers Association maintains its position of leadership in West Virginia’s business community through the interest and involvement of its members. Our Associates demonstrate the strength and the depth of the economic forces operating within the industry in a way that enhances the credibility of our messages and issues.
The ranks of Associate Members span virtually every vendor category within the industry. We have found that Associates derive significant benefits from their involvement with WVBA.
WVBA conducts a variety of formalized schools and seminars throughout the year on subjects as varied as new laws and regulations, taxation, consumer banking, and estate and tax planning. As an Associate Member, we would welcome your attendance at any of these events. In addition, Associates are invited to attend the School of Banking and the WVBA Annual Convention at The Greenbrier.
WVBA Associates may also enhance their relationships with banks by becoming sponsors of events and activities or simply staging an exhibition of their wares at the Annual Convention or conferences held throughout the year.
As an Associate Member, your firm will receive the benefits of timely and informed reports on the issues that will affect banking and your bank customers. Weekly legislative reports and other briefing materials should serve as effective tools for you to know how banking is being affected by public policy decisions.
All WVBA members also receive a quarterly magazine, which features a variety of topical articles on banking, as well as a comprehensive report on the status of personnel changes and promotions within the industry. Many of our Associate members have taken full advantage of the advertising and marketing opportunities available through the magazine.
In addition to direct advertising, we also welcome the submission of guest articles on topics of interest for consideration. Many members have found this to be an excellent way in which to expose your expertise to the broader banking industry.
All members also receive a copy of the West Virginia Bank Directory—the definitive source of information about banks, their officers, directors and financial profiles.
Associate Member dues for the West Virginia Bankers Association are $1,000 per year, and represent a cost-effective investment in your business and your customers. The opportunities for interaction with leading industry decision-makers occur regularly, and provide Associate Members with a critical value added component for their membership.
